RULES OF DISCIPLINE FOR THE STUDENTS

  • Punctuality and regularity in attendance, proper uniform, earnest efforts in home-work /assignment and polite behaviour inside and outside the school are the matters always insisted on and the parent’s full co-operation is expected at all times for the
  • The students must greet teachers who enter the classroom and when she leaves the room. They must respectfully greet all staff members whenever they meet them, inside or outside the school.
  • When spoken to by teachers or their elders, students are expected to stand in attention and not lounge about with their hands in their pockets.
  • Honesty is expected of every child. If a student finds something which does not belong to him/her, he/she should inform the higher authorities or to the coordinators about the articles found or leave the same in the office. Students who lost articles may also inquire about the same in the office.
  • Students are answerable to the school authorities for their conduct both inside and outside the school. Misbehaviour in public places and conveyances justifies dismissal. Bringing of weapons (knives, chains etc.) to school, ganging up with students of other school justifies instant dismissal. Irregular attendance, habitual idleness, disobedience, objectionable moral behaviour and above all, discourtesy and disrespect to teachers are each a sufficient cause for suspension or dismissal.
  • On their way to and from school, students must remember that the school is judged by their conduct. Thus, every student is urged to contribute to the high tone of the school by his/her manners and deportment.
  • Students must come to school neatly dressed in the proper school uniform. Untidy, torn shoes, rubber slippers etc. will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
  • Students are strictly forbidden to introduce objectionable literature into the school or to purchase any article of food from unauthorized dealers near the school premises.
  • Note: *   If he/she indulges in these activities and any mishap does occur then the school will not be responsible for the same.

 

  • It is the responsibility of every parent to check his/her ward’s bag every day to ensure that the student doesn’t bring any sharp/risky object to school.
  • Damage to school property however slight will be condemned. Stringent disciplinary measures will be taken against such offenders and the parents will have to bear the expenses for repair/replacement of the damaged property.
  • Students should attend school regularly. No leave of absence is granted except for serious reasons. Students who are absent on the first day or the last day of any term or who are away from school for five consecutive days without prior permission, their names will be struck off from the school and will be readmitted only if there is a vacancy in the class and on payment of the re-admission fee. In all cases of leave of absence, prior permission from the Principal should be obtained, except in cases of unforeseen circumstances, for which an authenticated reason should be furnished by the parent or legal guardian. Nature of leaves such as (i) Medical leave requires a medical certificate issued by a registered practitioner (ii) Leave taken to attend a marriage ceremony should be supported by a marriage card. However, granting leave is entirely at the discretion of the Principal. No marks will be awarded for any absence during the Test/Exam.
  • Absentees at an examination will be considered as having failed unless it is established that their absence was due to illness.
  • Students found guilty of using unfair means or being in possession of examination related material during exams will be granted a zero in all the subjects and the examination as a whole will be cancelled and he/she will be suspended.
  • 80% attendance is compulsory for promotion.
  • The Management reserves to itself the right to dismiss students who continually fail to make satisfactory progress in their studies or whose conduct is in any way detrimental to the orderly life of the school.
  • Students are not allowed to leave the school premises without the permission of the principal.
  • Smoking /using any kind of electronic cigarette /addictive drug /alcohol is strictly prohibited inside and outside the campus. Those found smoking or using such objectionable substances will be expelled on the spot.
  • Students must cultivate the habit of quiet, controlled movement and speech. Necessary movement in the school must be made in a quiet, orderly manner.
  • If students eat their Tiffin in the school, they must see that the place is clean before they leave. They must not litter the campus. Dustbins are provided and should be used.
  • The students are responsible for the safety of their own books, pens, watches, Tiffin-boxes or any other articles which they bring to school. The school is not responsible for the loss of any student’s possessions; therefore, it is not advisable to bring valuable articles such as expensive watches, gold ornaments etc. to school.
  • No fine of any kind or collection for any purpose whatsoever may be made without the prior sanction of the Principal.
  • Gifts to staff members or other demonstrations in their honour also require the Principal’s sanction.
  • During the absence of the teacher from the class, students must obey the Prefect or the Monitor appointed to maintain orderliness.
  • All students are expected to participate in the games and programs. Credit will be given for effective participation.
  • Every student must take part in physical training and games unless declared unfit on medical grounds and exempted by the Principal. Students are forbidden to join any outside sports organization without the prior permission of the Principal or the teacher in charge.
  • Lack of co-operation, misconduct, issuance of threatening letters and indulging in unwarranted communication by the parents/grandparents/guardian (s) /close relatives with the Principal/class teachers/subject teachers and the school which tantamount to threats would entail action against the ward, which could vary from warning to expulsion within the discretion of the Principal.
  • In spite of this, the school will make every Endeavour to ensure the safety and security of the students during school hours, in case a child indulges in acts which amount to violating the rules/norms of the school and as a consequence such a child endangers his/her life or suffers any bodily harm, the school in no way will be liable/responsible for any such act of the child.
  • If a student is absent for one week without any written information then his/her name will be removed from the roll.
  • Kindly make sure that the van driver/the auto driver arranged by you drops your ward in school on time. Latecomers will not be entertained.
  • The concerned van /auto/ bus driver should also pick up your ward from the school exactly on the given time. The school will be responsible for your ward’s custody only for the next 15 minutes after your ward’s dispersal time.

HOW TO CONDUCT YOURSELF IN SCHOOL

  • Focus on simple living and high thinking
  • Be a regular scholar, come to school in a clean and tidy School Uniform. Have only a simple haircut. Girls should have two plaits.
  • Let there be grace and a sense of purpose in your work and movement.
  • Be regular for the morning assembly. Be quiet and take an active part in its conduct.
  • Extend your help in keeping the classroom and the campus clean. Don’t scatter bits of paper on the floor. If you find any, remove them. Neither disfigure the walls nor damage the school furniture and other properties. They are yours and you have to pass them on to your younger brothers and sisters. Report damage or losses immediately to the class-teacher or Principal. Any damage will be made good by the person responsible.
  • Don’t loiter about outside the classroom while the school is in session.
  • While moving from one class to the other, take care not to disturb the other classes. Move in a line, always.
  • Bring only the prescribed text-books and notebooks.
  • Take care of your things. Don’t lose them.
  • If you find anything belonging to school or any other student, deposit it in the office.
  • Read News-papers and magazines regularly. Don’t mark /underline or annotate them.
  • Don’t do anything that is derogatory to your self-respect.
  • Your work and conduct should be such that brings a good name to the school. That will open a bright future for you.
  • Carry out the instructions of the class-monitor, the House leader and School Prefects.
  • Be an active participant in your school activities.
  • Enter Home-assignment in your school diary regularly and do the work regularly.
  • Follow- up the corrections and suggestions made by the teacher.
  • Be truthful to yourself, your friends, your teachers and elders, your school and your society.
  • ALWAYS USE GOLDEN WORDS ‘THANK YOU’, ‘PLEASE’,‘SORRY’ETC.  
  • Always give respect to the dignity of the opposite sex.
  • Always use amiable language in the school.

 

“THE FOLLOWING STEPS WOULD BE TAKEN BEFORE A STUDENT’S PERMANENT SUSPENSION FROM THE SCHOOL.”

 

  • The student will be counselled at school
  • Notice will be sent by the class teacher in the student’s diary to inform the parent about the concerned matter
  • The Principal will call the parents two times for discussion for the improvement
  • Permanent suspension from the school at the principal’s discretion

FOR THE PARENTS

  • You are requested to look up the diary regularly or whenever it is sent to you
  • Please, ensure that your child comes to school in a proper and neat school uniform
  • The child’s name should be written on all his belongings with a marker
  • The absence of your child from school for attending social functions should be discouraged
  • The child will be observed on the basis of his regular performance, so make sure that you attend all the PTM’s
  • The child should not be sent to school if suffering from any infectious disease. In case of illness, leave application must reach the school without delay
  • If the child is not making the desired progress, please do discuss with the teacher with prior appointment or on the Parent Teacher Meeting Day
  • In case you feel that you need to meet your child’s teacher please take the desired permission from the concerned authority
