MOTHER’S DAY CELEBRATION
A Mother possesses a power beyond that of a king on his throne. She loves fiercely but ultimately brings up her children to thrive in this world without her. Mother’s day is an occasion celebrated in the honour of all mothers.
The Indian Academy celebrated Mother’s day on 12th May 2018 in the school premises with great zest. The programme was hosted by Siddhi Bisht of class XII. She delivered a short introductory speech in the honour of loving mothers. The speeches by the students were full of unconditional love for their mothers. The students took a pledge to make their mothers smile more and suffer less, laugh more and worry less and express their love more often. The struggles and sacrifices made by a mother for her children were highlighted and the students were encouraged to take up the responsibility for the happiness of their mothers.
The audience was delighted to see the students present songs, dance and skits on this occasion. The skit performed by the students of class 12th was “Mother’s Day” by J.B Priestly.
The Headmistress Mrs Shuchi Mamgain was invited to deliver a speech which was to hearten the children to love and respect their mothers. The program proceeded with an interesting story about Kautilya and life lessons by the Principal, Mrs Neelam Sharma.
A vote of thanks was given by the host to the guests, teachers and students for making the event successful.
