The Indian Academy, Dehradun, organized an awareness workshop on “Cyber Crime” on Saturday, August 31st. The session was conducted by Additional Sub Inspector Manoj Beniwal from the Cyber Crime Police Station, Uttarakhand Special Task Force.

The workshop aimed to educate staff and students about various types of cyber crimes, including online fraud, cyberbullying, hacking, and digital threats. Mr. Beniwal provided valuable practical tips and guidelines for ensuring online safety, such as using strong passwords, avoiding responses to fake links and apps. The audience was also advised to use the helpline number 1930 and email cybercrime.gov.in for reporting cyber crime incidents.

The session proved to be both enlightening and eye-opening, equipping participants with essential knowledge to safeguard themselves against the growing threats in the digital world.
